Our Statement
The original purpose of this site was to remember the Stewart family and to keep the "Stewart" in "Stewart International Airport". The National Express Group wanted to rename the airport "New York Hudson Valley International Airport". Now, National Express has turned over the lease of the Airport to the Port Authority and a new era has begun. Our purpose now is to help make the airport a success, while ensuring that it remains responsive to the desires of the local citizens. We are very optimistic about the Port Authority's attitude and capabilities. A number of pictures and articles from handover day are below.
